I have been coaching for seven years. I’ve worked with juniors, seniors, elites and masters. I’ve coached men and women in cycling, triathlon, and duathlon. And I’ve been through it myself: I have experience in every discipline I coach. Injury, illness, setbacks, comebacks, victories, defeats; for 15 years I’ve been through it all. And from that experience, I know where you are coming from.
And yet, I'm always learning. That’s why I have a team of experienced professionals to turn to. If I don’t have the answer I work closely with someone who does.

Not quite ready for a coach? Or maybe you’ve been doing this forever, and prefer to self-coach? Either way, you should periodically sit down with a professional to review your training logs and training schedule. An objective, professional analysis can go a long way towards your own peace of mind, and can help avoid common pitfalls like plateauing or over-training, and also help you make the most of limited training time.
Goals help you know where you are going. But you must also know your starting point. Maybe you should have made a left turn at Albuquerque, or maybe not. It all depends on where you are coming from. Testing tells you where you are; where it is you are starting from, and what direction you need to take towards your goals.
Indoor Testing is done on a CompuTrainer at a cycling studio. No distractions, no traffic, no rainouts. It’s just you, your mp3 over the speakers, and a rabbit to chase on the big screen in front of you. Results are instantaneous. We’ll go over your results, and email you a copy.
Outdoor Testing is performed at a mutually agreeable location using your power meter or mine. Conditions are obviously weather and traffic dependant, and though every effort is made to minimize the impact, it’s not as controlled as the indoor test. Results need to be downloaded and again you will be sent a copy.
Testing is included in the start up fee for Monthly and Customized Plans. A discounted rate is also available when combined with Training or Power Training Consulting. But if you are self-coached, coached by someone else, or just want to have the numbers to brag to your buddies, we welcome you as well.
Just got a power meter, but don’t know a watt from a joule? I’ll walk you through, step by step, the setup, calibration, and best practices for using your new power meter. If you are considering a power meter, but not sure which one is right for you, I can walk you through the options.
